Week 2: Rocking the boat on the journey for knowledge and treasure

The CEO boat that rocked

All of our CEOs came together this week with executive coach Julie Treanor. These sessions are a place to openly talk with the other CEOs about the rough personal and professional voyage of leadership. With Julie at the helm, to coach and steer the discussion, these sessions are an incredible opportunity that many new CEOs who may feel adrift can only dream of.

Knowledge and Treasure

Our teams were imparted with a wealth of knowledge this week, with visits from Lochana Wijesundera, Garth Stanish and Liam Mason. They provided information on the developing global startup community, the tools available to teams, a financial-regulator view on FinTech.

  • Lochana, Programme Manager for Startups at Microsoft, presented the many benefits that Microsoft provides for emerfing and established startups. The programme provides an array of Microsoft support; from cloud tech, to development and productivity tools. There are also Network and Co-Selling initiatives on offer, to help jump-start your marketplace.
  • Garth and Liam joined us from the Financial Markets Authority. They informed the teams of the services provided by the FMA while also sharing their honest and passionate thoughts around the growth and innovation in New Zealand’s financial markets.

A Yoobee Army

Creative HQ was overrun this week with a battalion of Yoobee School of Design students. These ambitious students are hoping to put their skills into action as part of potential internship opportunities for our KFA teams. The young creators offer an array of skills, such as; graphic design, animation, development, and much more. They’ll be a creative resource to our teams and gain great work experience.
